Faith

The first Power is Faith, or believing and perceiving in which we release any ideas of separation from our Source. Intellectual faith is born of doubt and nurtured with the hope of fulfillment in the future. Spiritual faith relies on unquestioning assurance along with immediate response. According to Charles and Cora Fillmore, “The mind generates an energy that contacts the universal energy and causes circumstances and events to fall into line for the attainment of the latent ideal.”

Focus *Faith, focus, love

How can we focus on what is working

rather than that which is causing us pain?

We can be at peace at our deepest level

And only have more love to gain.

Accepting this as a spiritual fact

lets us deal with our chaotic world.

It reduces our feelings of anger and guilt

and lets our spirits unfurl.

We are part of the One and are witnessing our lives

as though in a crystal ball.

We are both the focus and the ball itself

since there’s only love after all.

I Am Prosperous *Faith, prosperity

I am prosperous in my life,

both in body and spirit.

In spite of my ego's insistence

that I don't have enough, that I can't succeed,

I intend to choose the reality

that I am successful, happy

and serenely peaceful.

Since I have access to my super-conscious mind

and have identified Who I Really Am,

I have no problems I cannot solve.

I am grateful that I can achieve my dreams

because of my connection to my Soul.

The Spirit of Love *Faith, love, ascension

My Spirit flies on the Wings of Love.

It dips and swirls, following eddies

of disharmony and redemption.

One draws me down

and the other pulls me up in ever-ascending spirals.

They depend on each other,

these two disparate energies.

How can I ascend higher

without having to pull against

the downward draft of negative thoughts and emotions?

If it were too easy, I would glide along in my innocence

and never be compelled to try for higher things.

I hope one day to transcend this earthly spiritual plane

so I can keep soaring towards my true calling

as a Spiritual Being transformed through my words and rhyme.

My Golden Avatar *Faith, ascension, consciousness

I am a Being of Light,

a golden avatar in this game we call life.

I project this image on the world around me

and watch it thrive as it channels the Mind of God.

I choose my thoughts with this goal in mind,

knowing that they will create my future self

and lead me into higher realms of consciousness.

I see my golden avatar as an explorer of possibilities,

a rudder to keep me on course

as I navigate through this earthly life.

I AM.

I am God.

I am Love.

I am Peace.

I am a rainbow in the sky,

I am a soothing salve.

I am the softness of a feather.

I am the love we all must have.

I am the joy of discovery.

I am a child’s sweet touch.

I am the burble of a clear brook.

I am the things I love so much.

There is nothing in this whole wide world

I cannot claim as mine.

Whether good or bad or neutral,

I am One with the Divine.

Creation is what I was born to do;

I delight in every word.

I express my spirit’s joy for life

by soaring like a bird.

We’re all part of Mother Earth

from ocean to Her sky.

Every molecule within us

is really stardust from on high.

I am Peace.

I am Love.

I am God

I AM.

God’s in every thought and every movement we make.

He’s in the air we breathe and the sun when we wake.

God has no name, no face, no judgment at all.

There’s no heaven, no earth and no place to fall.

God’s love is within, without and everywhere.

It’s All That There Is and the thing we all share.

My Prayer *Faith, Oneness, consciousness, meditation

Prayer is not what I do,

it is what I am.

Since God is everywhere,

I am One with God,

in the eternal state of Universal Consciousness,

whole and complete.

Prayer is in every thought,

every breath I take,

every word I speak,

knowing that all of my imperfections and glories

will be reflected back to me.

Prayer is as simple as the sound of one hand clapping—

toned with the “Ah,” an intake that is my beginning,

followed by the “Um” of my becoming

as my breath’s release

is returned to Creation from which it came.

This sacred meditation

is a tribute to my Oneness with God,

an expression of who I am,

who I have always been

and who I will always be.

The Universal Sea of Being *Faith, perfection, boundaries

My inner firmament beckons

with the impatience of its ethereal nature.

It seeks to break the chains that bind it

to my small Pond of Existence,

the seething cesspool of my self-limited boundaries.

My fear of the mysteries beyond my known space

impels me to reject my innate perfection

because I’m “only” human, after all.

How can I break free of my ego’s obsession

with my perceived imperfections

so I can embrace the whole Universe

that awaits my State of Transcendence?

I simply trust that my spiritual soul

will pull me into this eternal place

that is far from the loneliness, anger and fear of famine,

wars and destruction that it seems to have inherited.

Because they are not really there

and I do not will to have them.

After all, I AM one with God,

riding on the Wave of Existence

in the Universal Sea of Being.

My Spiritual Wealth *Faith, Oneness, separation, love

The name of God is I AM.

Its simplicity soothes my mind.

I AM One with the One in all ways;

it’s that peace I know I will find.

The separation I sometimes feel

is the possibility I’ll live in fear.

But as the master of my own fate,

I can protect what I hold dear.

Since I’m the captain of my soul,

my strength comes from within.

I’m accountable for all of my dreams

And I choose how I’ll win.

I accept God’s absolute love,

which means that I love myself.

I’m responsible for all of my thoughts

and reap my own spiritual wealth.

My New Box *Faith, boundaries

My world exists within a box

that limits all I see.

Sometimes it’s good, but often bad

and that defines who I will be.

If negative energy surrounds me,

then that is all I know.

I can’t see through my own biased thoughts

all the good things life can show.

I have to change how my box is made

to eliminate my fear

by opening up to all the good things

that can make my life so dear.

Only I can direct where my life will go

and how safe I will feel.

Only I can reprogram my everyday thoughts

to redefine what is “real.”

I must direct each thought I have

to embrace love as my own

and mold it into my new box

as my framework for all thoughts sown.

Then these new thoughts will direct my life

and guide me through its course,

so bad things will cease to cause me grief

as I draw closer to my Source.

Being Me *Faith, control, surrender, enlightenment

I don’t need to “do,” I just need to “be.”

I surrender my burdens so I can simply be Me.

I can’t control others if peace is my goal;

I let God solve my problems while I tend to my soul.

I surrender each challenge and trust it’ll be gone 

because it’s a habit that helps me move on.

I’m never a loser with God on my side; 

enlightenment’s easy with Him as my guide.

I’m only a drop in this Spiritual Sea 

but God holds me up so I can be Me.

Eternal Peace *Faith, peace, Oneness, forgiveness

Defeat is really a gift

that hasn’t been discovered yet.

Our potential’s defined by our trials

and success is what we will get.

Every life has value to God,

every soul has a part to play.

We’re all part of the One

and nobody can take that away.

As long as we hold our goals

next to our hearts with love,

the Universe will do its part

and send grace down from above.

Like Jesus on the cross

who then found eternal life,

we can show the world

that we can move beyond strife.

As long as we can forgive

and be the best we can be,

our future with God is assured

and eternal peace is what we will see.

My Spiritual Rights *Faith, transformation, Oneness

I am never alone being part of the One

with the Universe on my side.

My transformation has just begun

and I'm beginning to enjoy the ride.

It’s been a stretch to expand my view

from my everyday events.

It’s hard to ignore the news stew

And look beyond my backyard fence.

There’s more going on than I’ll ever know

to nudge me to adjust my sights.

But my higher self knows where I’m destined to go

to claim my spiritual rights.

Just what they are I don’t know yet

but I have faith they will come to be.

Since I’m under God’s wing I will never forget

that He won’t abandon me.

Compounding Love *Faith, truth, love, forgiveness

Arcs can go up and arcs can go down

and my spiritual life can, too.

I influence my life’s arc to go either way

just by doing what I’m born to do.

By affirming my Truth that there’s good all around,

I can compound the love in my heart.

I can make my life’s arc go through the roof

just by intending that love plays a big part.

I may not be rich but I’ll never be poor

as long as I forgive my past.

I intend for love to guide my life

by compounding enough to last.

I’m grateful for whatever the future may bring

and certain that good things will come.

No matter the trials that I may face,

I’ll be better than where I came from.

My Sea of Love *Faith, love.

I send my love to all the world

in waves with crests of foam.

It’s then reflected back to me

and infuses all my poems.

My life is like a symphony,

high notes balancing low.

Each note blends pure within the score,

as soft as falling snow.

The eternal pattern that drives the tides

is just as strong within,

and my love’s influence on the world

is carried by the wind.

Good Things Will Come *Faith, fear, trust

Only God and good are real—

there is no evil here.

Since evil cannot come from God,

it can only come from fear.

Fear may seem real from day-to-day,

and media predicts a fall.

But that’s not from God so I can look away

and ignore its siren’s call.

To counteract what’s happening

that seems to be so wrong,

I can visualize the change I want

and trust Spirit to go along.

If I expect the best to come,

according to God’s will,

and surrender all my thoughts and fears,

then God will fill the bill.

It may not result in what I thought

and expected it to be,

but appreciating the end result

will bring peace close to me.

Once I know God has my back

and only good can come,

the miracles that are due to me

will tumble in one-by-one.

Spin Cycle *Faith, Awakening

I am not my emotions and they are not me—

I want to release them so they’ll cease to be.

Though I’m not my body, my emotions seem real.

I release my attachment and they lose their appeal.

Once that’s settled, my next question is “When?”

and that depends on the state that I’m in.

I know that I’m Spirit with human choices to make.

Do I want to keep suffering or prefer to awake?

My heart has a role in this dialog—

once it lets me release suffering I’m out of the fog.

At least for now I’m willing to let go

of the pain I’ve held onto for lifetimes in a row.

My reward is simple—it’s contentment and bliss.

I can change the world through my soul analysis.

I decide when this happens and how much to complete,

then the process starts over, rinse and repeat.

My Dream World *Faith, Imagination

I love my dream world when I sleep

because it is not real.

No judgment clouds its many plots

and reality’s no big deal.

The crazy scenes are so distinct,

I feel like I’m right there.

Then they change dramatically

but somehow I don’t care.

Each day brings new possibilities

for story-lines it seems.

My subconscious will sort them all

and put them into dreams.

I’ve trained myself to look for clues

that reveal the “inner me.”

They must hold meanings for my life

but they’re hard for me to see.

Not that I need any control

over what my dreams present.

They vacuum out my consciousness

and clean my psyche’s vent.
