6. Love
Love is the fourth Power, the ability to attract and unify, getting rid of any sense of discord, conflict, resentment or blame so that we are radiating harmony and serenity. In the Fillmores’ words, “Mother love is as strong as life and will make every sacrifice to protect offspring. This wholehearted, self-sacrificing aspect of love indicates a spirit deeper and stronger that the animal or human, and we are forced to admit that it is divine.”
Love *Love, consciousness
Love is the sacred geometry of the soul.
It is an up-welling of completion, serenity and unity with the Divine.
When it is absolute, it leaves room for no other feeling
other than the ecstasy of being in the Light.
A mere instant of experiencing absolute, all-encompassing love
can change the course of our lives.
It is a bursting of our consciousness,
sending it into infinity in a wave so powerful
that it can change the world.
This must be what heaven feels like, we conclude,
and then the feeling dissolves to become yet another memory to savor.
But deep down we know that this experience, even for an instant,
is worth a lifetime of spiritual growth and the effort it took to get there.

Being Alone *Love, consciousness
Being alone magnifies each moment
while forcing us to confront our deepest fears.
Only then can we learn how to mold them into new possibilities.
With lots of time to think about our places in the Universe,
we begin to watch the iridescent bubble of our consciousness expand.
It envelops Mother Earth, the Sky and the Universe with our divine love,
allowing us to fill the hole in our heart’s space
and chase away the darkness we fear.

The Cardboard Sign *Love
Standing on a street corner, holding a cardboard sign,
a homeless person searches for eye contact.
“Please see me,” he silently says.
“I am human, a product of your society,
discarded as an embarrassment when it failed me.”
Why do we reject these Children of God,
these precious souls who only want to live and love?
They are our brothers and sisters, our sons and daughters,
who have no hope for their future
in the most prosperous country in the world.
Handouts are futile expressions of societal guilt.
What they need is worth and value, safety and hope.
What they need is basic housing, mental healthcare and transportation.
What they need are neighbors who care enough to give them
a chance to be human and a functioning part of their society.

The Rubber Band Prayer *Love, forgiveness
Dear God,
Take this rubber band of bitterness, suffering and hatred from my heart.
Please release their poison and allow me to recognize
that the hurt I feel must be returned to the forgiving Universe
to be cleansed and sent back to me as love.
Root out the victim-hood infection
that reaches into my soul and chokes the life out of it.
I’m sorry that I allowed it to capture my spirit,
mask my compassion and shield me from love.
Please take all the nasty thoughts away from me
and allow me to forgive myself and others.
Thank you for allowing me back into Grace and Peace
where I can live in a State of Love forever.

The Energy of Love *Love
Love is the opposite of judgment and fear.
It comes from within from a place we hold dear.
If we take out the “should’s” and allow love to grow,
the world about us can only follow the flow.
The intent to love is how we will lead,
knowing love’s energy is all that we need.

A Prayer for Earth *Love
I pray for our Earth to remain strong and resilient
in spite of her rocky, dirty, windy wetness.
I pray she can survive the relentless onslaught of man
with our diverse intentions and actions.
I pray for a convergence of universal love
to heal all of the negative outcomes
accumulated over the eons of human existence.
Most of all, I pray for love
to guide our leaders and populations alike
to become better stewards of our most precious home—
Our Earth, our ultimate nurturer, eternal comforter, healer and loving Mother.

The Frequency of Love *Love
The frequency of love comes from the sacred well of our souls.
It cannot be dictated or forced or expected.
It must be born from an internal source like a clear, bubbling spring.
Only then can it joyously flow over the jagged rocks of judgment
in a smooth, soft stream that relentlessly drops down
into a still pond that attracts thirsty souls to its sweet waters.

to help change emotional weather
by making love our tether
to ensure a future unfurled.

We open our hearts to the world
to love everything we see.
Accepting the light with the dark
allows us to be all we can be.
Unconditional love
is all that our world needs,
and each of us can be
the spreader of love’s seeds.
Accepting our imperfections
amplifies the love that we have.
It opens our hearts to Christ’s presence
and serves as healing salve.
We aren’t separate from other people—
in God’s eyes we are all One.
When we love all that’s around us,
God’s work is already done.

Love, as a tiny drop in still water,
radiates in concentric waves into infinity.
When it is love for ourselves,
we can change our destinies.
When it is love for others,
we can change the world.
Consistent waves of love
have no boundaries
and inevitably lead to peace and joy.
Be that tiny drop,
that secret weapon for happiness,
so that your abundant love
can help mold a more joyful world.

Letter to Myself *Love
I am loved, I am worthy of everybody’s love.
I am perfect, I am beautiful, I’m adored from Above.
There’s nothing that can harm my own, perfect soul.
My inner child is safe and Life can’t take its toll.
I am good enough for God and I love my inner “Me.”
Imperfection sparks my courage to be all that I can be.
I am full of expectation for what I can achieve
because Love’s golden armor surrounds me like a sleeve.

Choices and Chances *Love, peace
There is no right side or wrong side to war
since it devastates all in its path,
whether it’s a family fleeing on foot
or a conscript delivering its wrath.
They all feel the terror that grips their hearts
and keeps them from sleeping at night.
They want it to end and go back to their beds
without fearing there’s someone to fight.
The ones at the top who decide everyone’s fate
think they know what’s best for their side.
But they live in fear just as everyone does
when chance gives them nowhere to hide.
There’s a chance they’ll die and a chance they’ll live
and a chance they’ll be maimed and lives torn.
But the certainty is their peace is gone
and their guilt and fear must be borne.
What’s missing is love to soothe their pain
and act as balm for their souls.
It’s what they all crave at the end of the day
even though it’s not one of their goals.
The fact is they’re pawns in this harsh game of life
while they’re caught in a current or wave.
Sometimes they’re up but mostly they’re down
and depend on how others behave.
How will it all end is what everyone asks
as they grind on day after day.
It’s the ultimate test of survival skills
with uncertainty always at play.
Fear eats at their hearts like a cancerous sore
and it leaves an indelible scar.
Their lives have been changed through no fault of their own
and they no longer know who they are.
The world watches the war through the media’s lens
with its focus on suffering and pain.
It tries to find any hope and care
for those suffering who have so much to gain.
The nagging thought that keeps us on edge
is that we could be drawn into this storm.
We could be those who are fleeing on foot
or conscripts where the weight of war is borne.
So we live each day the best that we can,
knowing it all could change.
If we’re at peace with ourselves and our God,
we can deal with our lives rearranged.
We all have choices to make in this life—
we can choose to be happy or sad.
We can choose love for ourselves and the world
no matter what fate is to be had.
We can reach the peaks and survive the lows
by focusing on our love,
and offering it to both sides of the cause
knowing our strength comes from Above.

Yearning for Peace *Love, peace, surrender
I yearn for peace and it yearns for me.
How do I reach it and how’s it to be?
How do I let it flow into my heart
and how do I give it while being a part
of this whole messy world that seems far away?
I guess I surrender and let my love play.
By turning it loose, I trust that my Source
wants peace to be my main course.

My Spiritual Essence Affirmation *Love
My Spiritual Essence is who I am, and who I am is Love.
Pure Love is my state of being and it fits me like a glove.
I‘m not the person I think I should be—Love envelopes me head to toe.
Love’s all I ever wanted in life and where my attention will go.
I choose to be happy with simple things, since that is where Love resides.
Once I remember Love’s all I am, my suffering goes out with the tides.
I know there is nothing wrong with me because there’s no “me” after all.
There is only Love in the Universe and it patiently waits for my call.

Emotions and Thoughts *Love
Emotions are what make my heart sing
or bring me down in despair.
My thoughts are their echoes both high and low
but they’re what guide me to care.
Without emotions my life would be
as bland as food without spice.
But if they’re trapped and I keep them inside,
my life will be hard as ice.
It’s the negative vibes that cause me pain,
like sorrow and fear and guilt.
My heart can’t soar and will weigh me down
and cause my spirit to wilt.
Returning to love is my only path
without negative thoughts in the way.
If I want to stay in my happy place,
I’ll expose them to the light of day.
Then I’ll remember my thoughts aren’t really “Me”
since love is my natural state.
Love grounds me in universal flow
that leads me to Heaven’s gate.

Ana’s Path *Love, faith, will, wisdom, joy
Love is everywhere,
magnetizing her intentions,
harmonizing with the Universe,
supporting each sure step.
Love communicates through her heart’s space,
waiting for the exquisite moment
when she can fulfill her potential
and achieve what is hers to do.
I know that it will come
because her Faith is its building block,
her Will is its fuel and
her Wisdom its sage guide.
She is on a journey of the heart,
with Love guiding her path,
cajoling her to continue as she seeks
to transcend time and space.
I know she cannot fail to reach this lofty height
since Love always wins
and her joy will only be surpassed
by knowing she can share it with others.

My Awakening Wave *Love, truth, power, awakening
Love is in my pocket and everywhere I look.
My longing to embrace it is like opening a book.
I don’t know where it comes from, I only know it’s there.
It starts with my own self-love and then learning how to share.
It’s part of the One Presence, which I know is true—
what I must acknowledge is that I’m “One Presence,” too.
That truth of who I really am lays my intention bare,
so I only need to listen to accept I’m in God’s care.
I know that I am more than all my human traits combined
and the Power that’s within me is the love that I will find.
Love is compassion set to music with all the world to save.
It gives me the song I need to ride my Awakening Wave.

Agape Love *Love, transformation
Agape means transcendent love,
unconditional and Divine.
It’s the purest form of love that there is
with no need to return it in kind.
Service transforms brotherly love
into wanting to do the right thing.
It removes needing to please society’s whims
and allows free spirits to sing.
Unconditional love allows the soul
to know it will never be burned.
Practicing it through all of life’s trials
means love doesn’t have to be earned.

What if the world could heal
and we all could get along?
It could change how we feel
and make right what has gone wrong.
What if the love we crave
was available to all?
Think of the hearts we’d save
from a devastating fall.
What if the one we love best
turns out to be our self?
We could handle all the rest
and take our hearts off the shelf.
So then the world could heal
with love spread everywhere.
What would change how we feel
is that everyone out there cares.

The Divine’s idea of love
is manifested into my heart.
It’s where all good exists
and where my alignment must start.
There’s only One Presence for all
and it seeks to manifest through me.
I pray in present tense,
and declare what I want to be.
My mind creates the idea;
my expression defines where it will go.
Whether it’s prosperity, health or love,
I pray that God will make it so.

Changing my Path *Love, Forgiveness
I was used to losing, I have to admit.
Forgiveness didn’t make much sense.
I thought the whole world was mine to use
with little consequence.
If someone did something bad to me,
it was THEIR fault after all.
I thought that my intentions were good
and my horse was in the right stall.
But the path I chose was filled with fear
that my horse would lead me astray.
Then I’d fall into a deep, dark funk
thinking “It’s just a bad day.”
Forgiveness wasn’t part of the plan
since my life was mostly secure.
And then I crashed and couldn’t get up
because my intentions weren’t pure.
I’d neglected to love myself
because I’d not learned to forgive.
I expected the bad—it was all I knew
and I hardly knew how to live.
It’s a classic tale we all must face
and suffering takes its toll.
So I changed my mind to see the bright side
and forgiveness infused my soul.
I then moved ahead on my new path,
caring more for others each day.
Forgiveness and love changed my life
and bad thoughts went away.

Perception's Reflection *Love
I see the world and the world sees me.
When I’m happy, my heart is free.
I’m a mirror for what can be
since I reflect all that I can see.
When I’m with another I try to feel
what makes them special, what’s their appeal.
They want respect for what makes them real
so acceptance and success result from that deal.
Love without condition is the key to it all
and spreading that love can prevent the world’s fall.
It just takes intention and everyone’s call
to make sure that no person ever feels small.
