The third Power is Wisdom, or knowing how to evaluate and discern in which we let go of any need for blame and unconditionally accept ourselves and anyone else. The Fillmores illustrated this idea by stating, “When we awaken to the reality of our being, the light begins to break upon us from within and we know the truth; this is the quickening of our judgment faculty. When this quickening occurs, we find ourselves discriminating between the good and the evil…’Knowledge comes but wisdom lingers.’” They also said, “Wisdom includes judgment, discrimination, intuition, and all the departments of mind that come under the head of knowing.”
Wisdom *Wisdom, peace
Wisdom is revelation given clarity and structure.
It is the end-product of experience, suffering and elation,
not the sum of them.
They are tinged with delicate tastes and flavors,
all mixed together like tumbling clothes in the dryer.
Experience is the only path to wisdom
and it is made up of blunt force trauma as well as angel’s wings
blended with all the other events and emotions in between.
The ego-self loves to be in control of experience
so it can guide us into the realm of judgment.
But it can never be in control of wisdom
when it is tempered by love and forgiveness.
Wisdom is the ultimate goal of an enlightened soul
and one of the keys to achieving peace.

Uncertainty *Wisdom, control, consciousness, change
Uncertainty means that change is happening at all levels of our consciousness.
It means that we are not in control
but we can choose how we allow it to affect us.
Consciousness responds to our mind’s imperfect understanding,
urging us to release that which no longer serves us.
It expands as our energy bodies learn
that they can flow with change rather than resist it.
Change then becomes a central energizing force
that allows us to bypass our mind’s need for control
and accept that WE are the light that we seek.

The Puzzle of Life *Wisdom, love, healing
We are the sparks our parents ignited,
vital pieces in the Puzzle of Life,
created when the masculine and feminine
became one.
Our fathers gave us guidance and strength
while our mothers’ nurturing presence
set our parameters for growth.
Her arms made us feel safe and whole
by keeping the outside world at bay.
She held space for us to return to a home
filled with love and acceptance,
the healing balm we needed
to give our lives meaning and direction.
She was the responsible one,
the rock solid foundation,
with no need for recognition,
only the desire to see her children
happy and fulfilled.
She was willing to sacrifice herself
for the good of her children,
even if her style
left some ragged edges to smooth over.
She guided each emerging life
into a world filled with unexpected outcomes
and glued them together to make her family whole.
Her presence created an intricate yet perfect puzzle
held together by love
and capable of healing our world.

Piercing the Fog *Wisdom, meditation, truth
The Fog of our existence
can obscure our spiritual path.
It can fill us up with cravings
that invite our judgments’ wrath.
It can divert our better natures
and give creaky egos grease;
it can block us from our futures
as spiritual beings seeking peace.
Or we dispel the fog around us
and discern who we can be
by committing to our good sides
to see our lives with clarity.
We can explore the thoughts of the Masters
and go outdoors every day
to meditate in silence
while we keep the world at bay.
We can hold our hearts wide open,
eat good foods and seek to know
the Truth of our existence,
not the Fog that restrained us so.

View from the Top *Wisdom
Small challenges and mountains are easy to explore
but we can’t see very far from the peak.
Big challenges call for more steps to the top
but the view is what we seek.
The more effort it takes to reach our goals,
the more reward there we will gain.
We really want things that enrich our lives
and lead us away from our pain.

Coming Home *Wisdom, love, connection
Home is where we want to be
at times of great adversity.
To be alone when life is tough
makes us know that we’ve had enough.
That’s when our home comes into play
because we know it’s the only way
to find the love that our souls seek
to grow, connect and reach their peak.
We need each other to share our space
and feel connected to the Human Race.

The Father Within *Wisdom
We all have a father within us,
a daddy imperfect but sweet.
He wants the best for our future
but his ideals may be hard to meet.
The more we honor his intentions
and forgive the missteps he made,
the better we can face our futures
and feel we have made the grade.
Our imperfect world’s a reflection
of the imperfect persona within.
Our father’s intent was to change this
and prepare us so we can win.

Filling God’s Bill *Wisdom, intuition, surrender
The fire of the Holy Spirit
channels the wisdom of the Divine.
Pure knowing is its hallmark
and intuition is its sign.
We all have it within us
to show us where to go;
when we can learn to listen
we can join universal Flow.
We can trust our inner wisdom
to guide us on our way
so the answers it will give us
will keep chaos and fear at bay.
By allowing God to use us
in whatever way he will,
we can trust our inner guidance
to let us to fill His bill.

My Mind's Task *Wisdom, judgement
“It is what it is,” but is it the truth?
I should ask this every day.
I see the world through my karmic veil
that sometimes gets in the way.
I know that love is all there is
and what I need to feel.
But sometimes it’s hard when judgment’s there
and distorting what is Real.
I try to detach from my ego thoughts
about things that I “ought” to do.
They pull me into guilt and fear
and lead me to fret and stew.
I know that peace is there for me
and that I can surely change.
Since I can’t alter the world I see—
my mind’s what I re-arrange.
